Ruby Beach Surprise Engagement Photoshoot | Olympic Peninsula Photographer

This session was so fun and my very first surprise engagement I had ever photographed. This was about two weeks of planning to pull it off. Eddie and April take a yearly trip together and this time it was to explore the beautiful Washington state. They rented a camper van and drove it all over to see as much of it as they could without being tied down to a hotel room everyday (which is an amazing way to see a new place I admit.) Eddie and I texted back and forth trying to come up with the perfect location for him to surprise April without knowing anything was up. They were traveling down the peninsula and we agreed that Ruby beach would be the stunning location where it would all go down. I showed up and waited for them to arrive and casually followed them around for a bit while Eddie found the perfect spot for him to pop the question. They then CLIMBED A FREAKIN’ SEA STACK together and that’s where he decided to finally do it. My palms were all kinds of sweaty because of heights and also excited for them because I knew it was finally happening. Of course April said YES! and we all had a blast together afterwards running around the beach together.
